About

Awfully Nice is an award-winning production company founded in 2020 by Jesse Burton and Katie Hodges.

Both previously worked at Spotify, overseeing the DSP’s content studio. During their tenure they produced a vast array of artist-driven video programs including Paul McCartney: Under The Staircase and Green Day: The Early Years.

Later, they also managed a portfolio of hit podcasts like
The Joe Budden Podcast, Jemele Hill Is Unbothered, and Stay Free: The Story of the Clash.

They launched Awfully Nice with a First Look and production deal from Spotify, later expanding to also produce projects with platforms like Amazon and Audible, Film/TV companies like Imagine Entertainment, and record labels like Dreamville and Warner Music Group.

The company’s work has been recognized by The Ambies, Ad Week, The Webbys, The Signal Awards, The British Podcast Awards, and many year end Best Of lists from Vulture to The Atlantic.
